At just 18, Zaki Ameer arrived in Australia with an unfaltering determination to not only land on his feet, but to achieve his big dreams for business success.

After some initial life-changing setbacks, Zaki found himself living in an alien culture with few friends, no income and significant debt resulting from university fees. Determined to remain in Australia, he spent the next four years working eight-hour days, followed by night studies in Business and Finance, after which he’d finally come home in the late hours of the night to have to complete course assignments.

Eventually, once clear of debt and with a Bachelor of Business under his belt, Zaki had a chance meeting that inspired him to try his hand at property investment.  As a result, and just a few years later Zaki had secured a successful portfolio of 10 properties, with a value of over $3 million.

Quickly gaining recognition for his incredible success, Zaki began speaking at seminars and events about wealth creation and personal development. It was here that he recognised his enthusiasm for sharing knowledge which, in turn, led to the creation of Dream Design Property (DDP)- a unique wealth creation program – in 2012.

 Over the past few years, DDP has helped close to 1,000 clients purchase over 1,300 properties. Turnover for the company in its first year was $27,000. Fast forward to today, DDP enjoys a combined turnover of $13.8 million. In its efforts to give back to the community DDP contributes almost $100,000 each year to a variety of charities, including Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney Young Professionals, Tiny Miracles, The Sri Lankan Annual Ball and The Bollywood Club. Recently Zaki did a tour of East Africa for charity promoting positive thinking, setting goals and investing in real estate.

Zaki’s business approach is to use his wealth of investment experience and methods to guide clients as they begin their own property investing journey. From starting with one member of staff assisting him in building the company, Zaki now has a team of 15 staff, each of whom offers each DDP client an ongoing and personalised service which caters to all of their changing circumstances and needs.

Harbouring a passion for mentoring, every day Zaki is on hand to his team, advising them in relation to client business, and also mentoring them for their personal career development.  The majority of his team have created their own portfolio of investments. In one instance Zaki personally mentored a team member to grow his portfolio from zero to ten properties in just two year.

Unlike many of his competitors, Zaki ceased personally investing in real estate shortly after founding DDP, in order to ensure that the best market stock could be allocated to his clients. This is just one of the ways in which DDP differentiates itself from its peers.

Another example of DDP’s unique services is Kickstart – a unique and affordable program designed to provide Gen Ys with much needed help to take their first step into the property market as well as cement their financial literacy.
